Sentinels of the Multiverse

So I decided to pick up a copy of Sentinels of the Multiverse from Amazon. The game itself is pretty simple. There are three turns to a round: Villain  Hero, and Environment. Let’s start with the villain’s turn.

The villain turn consists of start of turn effects, play the top card of the villain deck, and end of turn. Pretty simple.

After the villains turn, move to your hero turns. Hero turns are as follows: Start of Turn, Play a card, Use a Power, Draw a Card, End of turn.

Next is the environment turn which is the same as the villain turn: Start of Turn effects, Play the top card of the environment deck, end of turn effects.

Effects are played in the order the cards entered play.

So far we have only tried two player games and are not having much success. We have not had a victory after seven games. This game is cooperative, but the villain and environments are destroying us.

Here are some photos of hero cards.

Hope you enjoyed a little information about Sentinels of the Multiverse. Even though we’ve lost every game so far, we really dig this game! Looking forward to our first victory! The game does play up to four players and I’m sure that makes it easier to win. We were looking good against Omnitron our last game but the Sedative card got us pretty hard followed by a mass of healing drones! Image

Please excuse the large images, I have not figured out how to reduce the images yet.

  1. As I found out after posting this, the game is recommended for 3-5 heroes. If playing with two people it is advised to have both players control two heroes. This was not clearly stated in the rule book (enhanced edition).
